Dr. Allan Kelley, a native of the Wiregrass area, began his career in ophthalmology with an internship performed at Lloyd Noland Hospital in Fairfield, Alabama, upon graduation from the University of South Alabama Medical School in Mobile. After performing his residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he received his fellowship training in cornea and external diseases at the Mason Eye Institute at the University of Missouri – Columbia.
Dr. Kelley then returned to the Wiregrass in 1999 and has been practicing in the area for over fifteen years. As a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist, Dr. Kelley performs all aspects of general ophthalmology at Eye Surgical Associates with special emphasis in cornea, cataract, oculoplastic, and refractive surgery and external diseases of the eye. In addition to his board certification from the American Board of Ophthalmology, he is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the Medical Association of the State of Alabama, and the Houston County Medical Society.
