Dr. Allan Kelley, a native of the Wiregrass area, began his career in ophthalmology with residency training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He received his fellowship training in cornea and external diseases at the Mason Eye Institute at the University of Missouri–Columbia.
Dr. Kelley then returned to the Wiregrass and has been practicing in the area for almost twenty years. As a board certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist, Dr. Kelley performs all aspects of general ophthalmology with special emphasis in cornea, cataract, and refractive surgery and external diseases of the eye. In addition to his board certification from the American Board of Ophthalmology, he is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the Medical Association of the State of Alabama, and the Houston County Medical Society.
