Our patient care staff are all JCAHPO certified.
As ophthalmic technicians and assistants, our patient care staff performs preliminary tests daily for Dr. Wallace, Dr. Kelley and Dr. Gannon. They also assist them in many procedures, sharing responsibility for patient care. That’s why we felt it was important that all of our patient involved staff be certified by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology. As Certified Ophthalmic Technicians® (COT®) and Certified Ophthalmic Assistants® (COA®), they have undergone intensive training, education and testing to provide the best possible care for your eyes. As a patient at Eye Surgical Associates, you will only be cared for by Certified ophthalmic technicians and assistants, because your eyes deserve it.
